I’ve moved around a lot in my adult life. Each new place is exciting but never feels quite like home until I am surrounded by family photos and beloved art in each room. Over the years I’ve come to understand something my parents instilled in me as a kid: while pictures and art may be beautiful, if I have no personal attachment they are just pretty decorations, but if something speaks to my soul it enriches my life and helps my house become a real home.

In my work I strive to make art that has personal meaning for my collectors. It may be a simple object or landscape that reminds them of love and happy moments or it may be a complex work of symbolism that illustrates a concept or family theme. Either way, my hope is the art becomes personal and enhances the dynamic of the family, fostering love and unity, and creating the feeling of home in any space it occupies.
